Die cast cars are a very popular way for fans to show their allegiance to their favorite drivers.
Lionel Racing, the official die cast car maker for NASCAR released its top selling die cast cars for 2013, with some interesting statistics.
Obviously, the top selling car was that of Dale Earnhardt Jr., but more specifically his National Guard liveried car took top honors. Next on the list was Earnhardt Jr. again, with his Diet Mountain Dew car.
Being the most popular driver for as long as he has, he also took home the third place best selling die casts with the National Guard/Man of Steel car.
These statistics are only for the 1:24 scaled cars, but are a good indication of where folks are spending their money on merchandise.
Tony Stewarts Bass Pro scheme took fourth, while Jeff Gordon and his AARP/Drive to End Hunger car took fifth.
Some other notable top ten finishers were Danica Patrick’s GoDaddy schemed car taking sixth.
Clint Bowyer made his way into the ninth position with his Peak Antifreeze/Duck Dyansty car he took to Watkins Glen, for his first appearance in the top ten ever.
Rounding out that top ten was Dale Earnhardt, with the car he won the 1989 North Wilkesboro race.
