SPECIAL HOOD ON NO. 16 CON-WAY FREIGHT FORD TO HONOR COMPANY'S TRUCK DRIVERS

CONCORD, N.C. (Aug. 4, 2010) - The No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford Fusion driven by Colin Braun will feature a special hood this weekend at Watkins Glen International. The traditionally white Con-way Freight logo will have the names of a record 92 truck drivers who have earned a trip to the National Truck Driving Championships; often referred to as the "Super Bowl of Safety" in the industry.

The national competition is being held this week in Columbus, Ohio and drivers will face testing in three areas: a timed, written exam, a pre-trip inspection, and a driving skills test. Last year, three Con-way Freight drivers placed first in their divisions and Con-way Freight driver Dale Duncan was named Grand Champion. Those skilled enough to place first in their division receive special recognition from Con-way Freight, which includes the choice of a brand new Ford F-150 or Ford Mustang.

"This is such a cool thing that Con-way Freight does to honor its truck drivers," said Braun. "As a company, they put so much emphasis on safety and so it's no surprise to me that a record number of their drivers are attending the national competition. I'm very proud to have all these folks on board the No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford this weekend and I'm hopeful we can get a good solid finish for them."
