Schrader's Thoughts On Watkins Glen...
"I'm not a big fan of the road courses, but it's something that I think we have all gotten used to over the years. I never really know what to expect when I go to the road courses in terms of the race. I do know one thing for sure though - the fans at Watkins Glen are some of the best on the circuit. They really get into the racing and that makes you feel good as a driver."
"M&M's"® Racing At Watkins Glen...
The "M&M's"® Racing Team posted their best finish of the season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday. Quick work on pit road and some solid maneuvering on the race track led to the 14th-place effort.
"It's been a challenging year for the team," Schrader said. "We've had fast cars, but we've also had some set-backs. The team hasn't given up though, and we have all stayed focused through it all. Last weekend shows just how hard this team works. I had a great car out there and the crew had some super-quick stops on pit road. I think that our finish at Indianapolis may just be the boost that we needed during this long stretch of races."
* The "M&M's"® Racing Team will unload the same car this weekend that they ran in Sears Point earlier this season in June. Schrader and the No. 36 crew are hoping for better results this time around. At Sears Point, the "M&M's"® car finished 38th due to a broken rear end.
* One race is never enough for Schrader, who will make two stops en route to Watkins Glen this week. Schrader has plans to run at Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track on Tuesday and then at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., on Wednesday.
* Ken Schrader will sign autographs for the fans local to Watkins Glen International on Friday, August 9th. The autograph session will be held at the Wal-Mart at 9951 Chatfield Place in Painted Post, N.Y., from 6 to 8 p.m.
