RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO 400

BURTON ON RICHMOND - "We have struggled a bit at Richmond, but we made some major gains there in the spring. We had to really work hard at adjusting the car the entire race. The CAT car pushed like a dump truck for almost the whole race, but Tommy and the guys kept working at it. I think we had slipped back to almost 30th and made our way back up to the top five. We ended up sixth, but we were completely satisfied with that."

"We'll go back to Richmond with the same chassis but a new body hung on it. I think we had a fairly decent set-up in it by the end of the race, so we should have a good place to start. We just need to come out of there with a decent finish and gain back some of these points we lost in the past few weeks."

BURTON ON DARLINGTON - "We gave the race away there at the end, that's for sure. Goodyear came out with new left side tires for that race and I'm not sure why, but it made all of us struggle. I think there were a lot of people that got a Darlington stripe because the grip was terrible and we were sliding all over the place. We had the car to beat at the end when it mattered the most. Our guys did a great job all day and I'm proud of them for that. We had a great set-up in the car in the closing laps and we should have won that race."
