Sprint All-Star Results and Quotes

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Finishing Position: 4th

Can you talk about your race? "Our whole FedEx team did a great job. We had a brake issue with about 15 (laps) to go and we lost all brakes and that kind of worried me a little bit. We battled back. We came from the back and I took my time. When I had to push, I pushed. It showed that we could pass cars and that's a good thing. The mile-and-a-half tracks have been our Achilles ' heel for the past 10 weeks or so, and we definitely made big strides today."

Where did you get your car to work the best? "The middle seemed like it was the best for us. We could pass on the inside which is a positive thing. It didn't look like a whole lot of guys could. I'm excited about the (Coke) 600 and hopefully we bring the car back."

Does this finish give you confidence for next week? "It gives us a lot of confidence. When we run like pooh here on the All-Star week, a lot of times it transfers over to the 600. I'm jacked up about that run. We made strides. We came here with a totally different package to try to get better and get me more comfortable on these big tracks and it has worked so far."

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 M&M's Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Finishing Position: 7th

STEVE ADDINGTON, crew chief, No. 18 M&M's Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

How strong was your car in tonight's race? "I'm proud of everybody on the M&M's Toyota Camry team -- they worked hard all weekend. We had a good car all the way up to the end. We sat here and talked about what we were going to do those last 10 laps to get the car some speed in it and it bit us. I didn't feel warm and fuzzy about it, but everybody was with it and I was like, 'Well, okay, let's do it.' Went into qualifying mode and should have left it alone because I think we had the best car for the short run."

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Finishing Position: 8th

Did you enjoy your first All-Star race? "I had a blast -- I thought it was a ton of fun. I was so thankful to get in the race by the fans -- that was really cool to have that. I'm just excited. That was probably the most fun I've had in a race car in a while. Certain things I do and certain things I don't, but that was a really fun race."

What were you able to learn in your first All-Star race? "I learned a lot about restarts and I was giving up a lot on restarts so I figured out what I was doing wrong there. I think those last 10 laps were crazy. It was just so much fun and I thought there was going to be big junk everywhere. There wasn't but there was still some hitting and stuff and it was fun."

DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 00 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Finishing Position: 4th

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Finishing Position: 5th
Note -- Logano advanced to All-Star race by receiving the fan vote.

How does it feel to get the fan vote for the All-Star race? "It's awesome -- I can't thank the fans enough. That's really cool and I really think I've got a good race car. We came in and took tires -- I had oil all over the windshield and I couldn't see where the heck I was going so that was probably problem number one. Helping me see probably helped me more than the tires did. I think we had a good car -- we passed cars so I'm happy we're in. I can't believe that a rookie coming into this series can get the fan support like that and I am so thankful right now. I will do the best I can in the All-Star race here -- this is going to be a lot of fun tonight and I'm looking forward to it."

How strong is your car for the All-Star race? "I feel like I have a good car, but we'll just have to see. We have to get through the first few laps there and see what we've got. We'll keep on racing and hopefully we're there at the end. I think if we had some more laps here we were faster than the 00 (David Reutimann). We were faster than the 26 (Jamie McMurray) and a lot of cars there so I am really confident coming into it."

What does it mean to receive the most votes by the fans? "It's just amazing that a rookie can have the fan support like that coming into a series like this -- it's huge. There are a lot of big names in that race so to have a lot more fans vote for me is neat. It's one of the coolest things there. I think I have a good race car too. We're in by luck with the fans and stuff, but I think I have a good race car too. I don't think we're going to sit in the back all night and do nothing so we'll be all right."

How did you find out you would race in the All-Star race? "Zippy (Greg Zipadelli, crew chief) was telling me I was in, but I couldn't really hear him. He kept hitting the button too fast and I couldn't understand what he was saying. That was the first time."
