Tony Stewart, No. 20 Home Depot Monte Carlo SS met with media to discuss practice and qualifying and the difference between the Atlanta and Texas tracks

ALTHOUGH YOU CAME IN 10TH ON THE BOARD, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE A PRETTY FAST CAR "Yeah, I was pretty happy with it. I'm really happy with the adjustments he (Greg Zipadelli) made for qualifying too. So I'm pretty happy with our run. I normally either break even or slow down. I screw up here a lot in qualifying so I was pretty happy with that."

THEY SAY THIS IS LIKE ATLANTA, BUT WITH ONLY ONE GROOVE. IT'S NOT REALLY A ONE-GROOVE TRACK ANYMORE, IS IT? "No, it moves around quite a bit. But it doesn't move as much as Atlanta and quite as drastically as Atlanta does. It doesn't have as many bumps. You spend the majority of your time around the bottom here. It's shown in the last couple of years that this track moves around and guys do move up and down the race track. So, it's still wide enough that you can get what you need to accomplish, done. You just don't go all the way and scrape the walls like we do in Atlanta."
