"We've been struggling with the car and was just a little bit too tight, our M&M's Ford Fusion has just been a little too tight. We made some adjustments and we made it better, but it didn't get quite to where we needed it to be. We'll be looking forward to two practice sessions tomorrow, and hopefully it'll be a little bit better in race trim."

THERE ARE SO MANY RACES ON MILE-AND-HALF TRACKS. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS ONE? "I love this track. I feel like we've had some of our best runs on mile-and-a-half tracks here at Texas. My first two times here felt really, really good about our performance here at the track. So, this a place that I look forward to coming to, and the team has had success here before; they won with Elliott [Sadler]. It's a place we look forward to coming to, and we look forward to the race on Sunday."

DAVID RAGAN -- No. 6 AAA Insurance Ford Fusion (qualified 33rd)

"This is one of my favorite race tracks. We've run really well here in the truck and the Busch car. We just seemed to be off a little bit in our Cup car, but I think for the most part, you've just got to find that comfortable pace where you can drive hard and take care of your tires, takes care of your race car and be around at the end. If we could've done this at Atlanta, we could've finished up there in the top-12 or -14 there pretty easy. So, we'll adjust on it a little bit. I wish we could've gotten a little faster qualifying lap there, but that was a little bit of a pick-up from practice, and we'll just move on."

BOTH TEXAS AND ATLANTA ARE CONSIDERED VERY FAST TRACKS. ARE THEY SIMILAR? "Texas is a lot tighter, and, I guess, a lot longer straightaways. Atlanta is a lot more sweeping corners, and a little rougher and a little wider. Texas is an awesome race track, it's got a lot of grip and it's a lot of fun to drive on."

GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 Jackson Hewitt Ford Fusion (qualified 23rd)

"Disappointed. It was a pole-speed lap in one and two, and I got into three and four and the nose slid up the race track. This just hasn't done it since we've got here -- been real loose, and now all of a sudden the thing went up the race track because it was too tight, and I was thinking it was going to be too loose. We've just got to start off closer when we get here for the weekend, and be a little closer in the qualifying runs and be better than that. Dang it. Just that close, man, that close. I don't know if I would've been the pole, but it would've been a top-four, easy. I gave up a ton of time down there. I was clear out of the gas. Oh, well."

MATT KENSETH -- No. 17 USG Ford Fusion (qualified 18th)

ON BEING THE FASTEST FORD. "Carl [Edwards] might prove me wrong, but I don't think the cars can go much faster than that. That felt good from where I was at."

CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (qualified 21st)

"We picked up a half second and that was good. That was a good lap for us. I think it's going to race really good -- that's what I'm excited about."
