Bobby Labonte on racing at Texas Motor Speedway in the Samsung 500:
"This is a big week for us in Texas. I always like racing in my home state and we're bringing a solid car this weekend that I had a lot of fun in a few weeks ago in Vegas. I'm really looking forward to driving the No. 96 Ask.com Ford to another solid finish this week. We've climbed a bit in the points but we've still got some ground to cover this season. Texas is one of those tracks that is like a ball of excitement to get to and I'm looking to build some momentum there this weekend.
"Before I get to think about racing though, I'm being inducted into the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame there at the speedway. It's really an honor to have the folks in Texas support what I do on the track. I'm really looking forward to that on Wednesday evening. Then, Thursday, I'm driving a 5th grader to school as part of the Ask.com Safe Search School program. It's a great program because it gives the schools new computers and helps kids learn how to stay safe on the internet all at the same time. The kids get so excited too that it kind of starts the weekend off on a good foot. I hope that excitement carries throughout the weekend and we find ourselves celebrating on Sunday."
Crew chief Todd Parrott on racing at Texas Motor Speedway in the Samsung 500:
"The whole team, including myself, is really excited about this weekend in Texas. Bobby has some great history here and the car we're bringing has some great history in Vegas too. I think the combination will help us on Sunday and get us further up there in the points. Yates Racing has a solid intermediate-track program and I am thrilled to see this thing on the track this weekend."
