TALLADEGA, Ala. — Team Penske unveiled a new sponsorship deal for both its NASCAR Sprint Cup and IndyCar teams.
Avaya will support the effort of Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Ford at Kansas Speedway next Saturday night and Simon Pagenaud’s No. 22 Dallara/Chevrolet for four races — including the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 24.
Roger Penske comments
“We are excited to welcome Avaya to Team Penske through their relationship with HP, supporting Simon Pagenaud and Brad Keselowski,” said Roger Penske. “Avaya is a growing global brand that has a great opportunity to continue that growth through motorsports.
“We can benefit from Avaya’s technologies and expertise across our Penske businesses and we appreciate their partnership as Simon and the No. 22 team establish themselves as championship contenders in the Verizon IndyCar Series and Brad continues to work toward the Chase with the No. 2 team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.”
This is not just a win for Team Penske, but also a win for all of motorsports and NASCAR in particular
Brad Keselowski
Team Penske’s partnership with Avaya stemmed from an ongoing relationship with HP, whose Enterprise Services “deliver infrastructure modernization” to customers.
New partner will help strengthen team
Keselowski feels that having a partner with a technological bent will strengthen the race team on and off the track.
“NASCAR is trying very, very hard to continue to push the technical side and having more technical partners, so I think this is not just a win for Team Penske, but also a win for all of motorsports and NASCAR in particular,” Keselowski. “I’ll be glad to join the team and to have them on our car and hopefully we can have a great race for them.”
