DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 00 Domino's Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing: Starting position: 14th Qualifying lap: 50.346 seconds, 190.204 mph

How much have these qualifying situations affected you and your race team? "I think everybody on the crew is ready to pass out with all the drama around our qualifying laps. But we made the show and that's what we came here to do. That's our goal every weekend. They bought me this new uniform and I thought I was going to be ashamed if we didn't make the show because it was a paint scheme we were only going to use once. This was the same car we ran at Daytona, most of it, because we didn't leave Daytona in all that good of shape. The guys did a great job and I'm proud of them for overcoming another hurdle here this weekend."

You seem to be able to make your team owner (Michael Waltrip) both happy and sad all at the same time? "I wish I could just make him happy. I really thought his time was solid enough to get him in the show. He was close, but all of us 'go-or-go-home' guys are so close out there that really all it takes is a little bit too either be in the show or to be heading home."

Were you worried about your late qualifying draw? "I was worried about the qualifying draw, but this is one of those places where the wind can change directions or a cloud will come over so you just never know. The main deal here is the wind and if it gusts a little bit or changes direction, it can either really help you or hurt you."

How will your car be in the draft? "I don't know how the car will be in the draft because all we did were single-car qualifying runs yesterday. So the first time I will get in the draft will be tomorrow when they drop the green."

JEREMY MAYFIELD, No. 36 360 OTC Toyota Camry, Bill Davis Racing: Starting position: 18th Qualifying lap: 50.374 seconds, 190.098 mph

How was your qualifying lap? "I thought it was a pretty good qualifying lap, and it's always good to make the show. Our team has been steadily improving throughout the season and it seems like our cars are starting to come to us. It's obviously been a pretty tough season on the guys, but they've continued to work hard and get us going in the right direction. Toyota has been great with their help, and the results will improve as we continue to gather information and learn about these cars."

DALE JARRETT, No. 44 UPS Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing: Starting position: 43rd Qualifying lap: 51.581 seconds, 185.650 mph

How was your qualifying lap? "We've really been struggling with getting any speed out of the car this weekend. I didn't expect us to turn a very good qualifying lap and I think tomorrow we are going to struggle to stay with the pack. I don't know what we really need to work on to get it better, but we'll do the best we can tomorrow."

MICHAEL WALTRIP, No. 55 NAPA Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing: DNQ

Can you talk about the frustrations of qualifying? "A hundredth of a second every week has really defined who we are as a team. If I had run a hundredth of a second faster, I would be comfortable right now, but I didn't. It's a tough deal, but I spent the week with my team and with NAPA, we're working really hard to go in a better direction than we've been. I'm really proud of David (Reutimann) for getting the Domino's Brooklyn Style Toyota in the race for Sunday. We missed all three of the COT races this season by a total of a tenth and now we are here looking at a hundredth of a second. We know we're getting close and that's encouraging."

"I'm happy with my team, they dotted their 'I's' and crossed their 'T's' here this weekend and we ran the best lap that we've run all weekend. But the frustrating part of all of this is that there is not a NAPA car on the race track Sunday afternoon and that's what they pay us to do. On every level it's frustrating."
