RYAN NEWMAN, NO. 39 HAAS AUTOMATION/OFFICE DEPOT CHEVROLET, was involved in a single-car incident and forced to a backup car:

"I don't know what happened, I know I got hit. I just don't know why or what happened. Just tired being the one getting hit at these places. I guess I will just start driving into everybody like they do me and see if I can turn somebody else around or whatever and see what happens. It is a product of the racing here and it is not the greatest but I know NASCAR is doing everything they can and we'll see if it gets any better throughout the weekend."

NOTE: Chassis information for Ryan Newman's backup No. 39 Haas Automation/Office Depot Chevrolet

This chassis was the original car for Newman's inaugural race with Stewart-Haas Racing -- last year's Daytona 500. This car qualified third for the Daytona 500. However, Newman was involved in an on-track incident during the Gatorade Duels as he was making a move for the lead. Since the incident at Daytona last season, a brand new body has been hung on the car. The No. 39 team tested the car earlier this year at Talladega on March 16th.
