Team Cingular Quotes:
Robby Gordon on racing at Talladega Superspeedway:
"I had a career-best run at Talladega in April. We had a strong car and game plan. We're bringing back the same car and I'm sure we'll play off the same game plan. I started outside the top 20 in the spring, but was leading the race less than 30 laps in. It was like we hit the right combination on everything. We had a strong car, pit strategy and I don't think we had to make one mechanical adjustment the entire race. The pit crew was phenomenal. I believe they came off from that weekend winning the pit crew competition, too.
"It wasn't just Team Cingular, RCR was just strong all around at Talladega in the spring. I know we were all inside the top 10 at one point, running like a high-speed freight train."
Chris Andrews on racing at Talladega Superspeedway:
"Don't try to fix it if it isn't broken is the way I am looking at Talladega. We were really strong there earlier this year, so I plan to just capitalize on everything we did right in the spring and hopefully move forward from there. Chassis 119 is a great superspeedway car. We've had some great runs with it this year, just not the best luck. We were working on a great run at Daytona in February, but got caught up in an early wreck. Then, we took it back to Daytona in July and had a really fast car in Happy Hour, but the wet weather that visited the area between Happy Hour and the start of the race didn't help us. It diminished rubber in the racing groove and that just seemed to hand us a different car altogether, but we still managed to walk away with a top-20 finish."
