ELLIOTT SADLER QUOTES

"The practice sessions at Talladega are going to be very important for me as it will be my first experience in the No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger at a restrictor plate track. I need track time to see how the Dodge Charger handles in traffic and the draft. Each car has different characteristics concerning what it takes to run fast. I'm still learning that about the Charger. I didn't know it would be that much different, but it is. Everything takes a little different finesse to make it work.

"I've had success at restrictor plate tracks and I've had a lot of disappointments. Running three and four wide in a pack at Talladega is intense racing. One small mistake usually leads to a major mishap involving a lot of racecars. If we can avoid the mishaps and hang around until the end, it will be interesting to see what we can do with our Dodge Charger."

STATS & FACTS

Sadler has started from the Bud Pole the last two races at Talladega Superspeedway. He has three career poles there. The first came in the fall race of 2003.

Sadler has led at least one lap in the last seven races he's started at Talladega and has led a total of 70 laps there over his eight-year NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series career.
