MARK MARTIN -- No. 6 AAA Ford Fusion (Finished 35th)
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? "I wrecked. I don't know. Please don't ask me what happened. I don't know. It's Talladega."
HOW FRUSTRATING IS THIS FOR YOU? "It's Talladega."
IT'S LIKE A REPLAY OF LAST YEAR. "I don't even remember last year. It's what it is. I don't know. There are too many cars in one pack."
ARE YOU ANGRY ABOUT IT? "No. It's ridiculous. It's way beyond being angry. It's stupid. It would be ignorant for me to be mad about it. I'll just be glad when I don't do it anymore. It's a tough deal. It's too bad. It was one of the most fun places I ever came. In 1982 it was just a blast to race here, but in today's day and age it's hard to have fun when you know that the pin is out of the grenade. It's just a matter of time before it goes off."
KEN SCHRADER -- No. 21 Little Debbie/Motorcraft Ford Fusion (Finished 42nd)
"You run out of options pretty quick here, but there are just so many times where there's no need for it to start. That's the aggravating part."
WHERE WERE YOU WHEN IT ALL STARTED? "I was just in the wrong place."
WHAT DID YOU SEE? "Just a whole lot of stuff I didn't want to. Somebody ran into somebody else and then it just starts gathering cars as it goes. We got down in the grass and thought we were gonna be OK for a little bit, but we got turned around and slid into Kasey. It's not what we needed and not what anybody needs."
HERMIE SADLER -- No. 00 Aaron's Ford Fusion (Finished 43rd)
"This is one of the races that we really try to put our best foot forward, driving the Aaron's car for the Aaron's race, but it's just unfortunate. I'm not sure what happened, but I was kind of riding around in the back with Michael (Waltrip) trying to be safe. I guess you're not safe anywhere anymore, especially when they try to go five-wide less than 20 laps into the race. It's frustrating, but we'll fix it and try again next week."
GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 Subway/National Guard Ford Fusion (Finished 38th)
THIS MUST BE VERY FRUSTRATING. "Yeah, it is. I've got a car that's as good as my teammates are and they're out there running out front, but I just wasn't in the right position. I was just kind of taking it easy there and the motor gave up. It had been vibrating for a little while. We've got a chronic vibration issue. I don't know, sometimes it makes a difference and sometimes it doesn't, but obviously today it did."
KEVIN LEPAGE -- No. 61 State Water Heaters Ford (Finished 28th)
"I just feel bad for State Water Heaters. We had a great car. We took our Ford up to the front early in the race and didn't like what I saw, so I went to the back and just rode around. When it was time to go, I decided to go. I don't know what happened there. I guess I was in the middle and somebody tried to make it four-wide and body slammed the guy on the inside of me and turned me. I just hate it for State. I don't know if we had a car to win, but we had a car that could have finished in the top 15. We'll go to Richmond. That's all we could do."
COULD YOU SENSE SOMETHING LIKE THAT ABOUT TO HAPPEN? "There's 15 laps to go and you've got to race. You've got to put yourself in a position and I put myself in a position to finish in the top 15. We got taken out by somebody and it wasn't our fault. The guys did a great job and all we can do is get 'em next week at Richmond."
MATT KENSETH -- No. 17 DeWalt Ford Fusion (Finished 6th)
"It was a good finish. We ran pretty competitive, but not quite as strong as last time. Still, we ran pretty good and I got a decent finish out of it. For Talladega, it was alright."
WHAT KIND OF POSITION WERE YOU TRYING TO GET IN AT THE END? "I was trying to figure out any way to get to the lead. I had a run there one time, but just couldn't get in the right place at the right time."
JAMIE MCMURRAY -- No. 26 Irwin/Crown Royal Ford Fusion (Finished 5th)
"They got such a big run. It's easy to get to the lead, it's just hard to keep it. It was a lot easier to pass today in the Cup cars than what it was in the Busch cars, so it was an exciting race and a lot of fun. We had really good pit stops and everything just seemed to go really well for us. That's cool to head into the Charlotte test with that."
THE 24 PUSHED YOU TO THE FRONT, BUT YOU COULDN'T STAY THERE. "The 24, I thought, was one of the best cars. His car was really strong. He shoved me into the lead, but my car would get so far out when they pushed me to the front that they kept getting huge runs. It's so hard to feather the gas when you're in that situation."
YOU HAD A TOP FIVE THOUGH. "We had a really fast car today. I ran over a tire or something with 50 or 60 laps to go, but I came in and the guys fixed it. They did a great job. I had a really fast car. This is the same car we had at Daytona. They went back and put a new body on it, so props to our fab shop and all the guys in our speedway program. We also had a good engine."
HOW FRUSTRATING TO GET SHUFFLED BACK? "Yeah, the 24 shoved me out to the lead, but my car would take off so fast when I would break away. I kept coming on the radio saying that they were gonna get too big of a run. I was kind of making light of it because it's so tough when they shove you to the front to drag the brake or let off the gas a little bit. You want to win and that's a challenge."
YOUR FIRST TOP FIVE WITH THIS TEAM. "I'm very proud of all my guys. We had good pit stops today and a great race car. Bob (Osborne) has been a pleasure to work with so far and hopefully we'll have some good things to come."
ELLIOTT SADLER -- No. 38 M&M's Ford Fusion (Finished 16th)
"That's not where I wanted to end up, but I couldn't find any friends there at the end. My car got really, really loose there at the end and I couldn't stay in the gas. I was holding a lot of people up and I couldn't keep it on the bottom where I needed to be so I got shuffled back. It's just a tough day. To run like that all day and finish 16th is a heartbreaker to us, but we'll try to go get 'em at Richmond."
CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (Finished 8th)
"That was just a wild race. It feels good to leave here after leading some laps and finishing in the top 10. We barely dodged a wreck, so it was a pretty crazy day. The last five laps were wild. I was trying to stick with Matt because he seemed real good. I was trying really hard because he was waving me on, but that's the best I could do. That's the best I could get."
