Tony Stewart held a press conference at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Productions to make the official sponsor announcement for Stewart-Haas Racing. Stewart, who has competed with Joe Gibbs Racing since starting his NASCAR career, will become a team co-owner competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series next season. He announced July 10 that he had acquired a 50% stake in what is now known as Stewart-Haas Racing.

The move reunites Stewart with Chevrolet, putting him behind the wheel of an Impala SS in 2009. Asked if the move to a new team was influenced by the manufacturer, Stewart admitted the "homecoming" to Chevrolet was a big part of it, but it was more about the opportunity to become a team owner.

Stewart's openwheel teams participating in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and USAC competition are powered by Chevrolet. Stewart said the return to the Chevrolet family was a "natural fit."

Office Depot and Old Spice will serve as co-primary sponsors of Stewart's No. 14 Impala SS next season with Stewart campaigning two different liveries. The team did not announce specific races for each car but Stewart said he would run the Office Depot in 60 percent of the races and the Old Spice car in the other 40.

Old Spice has been involved with NASCAR since 2000 and Office Depot will mark their 5th year in 2009. Office Depot also announced today that it has renewed its partnership with NASCAR and will continue its relationship with the sport as the "Official Office Products Partner."

NASCAR team owners Joe Gibbs, Richard Childress and Rick Hendrick have offered advice and assistance. Told by driver and team owner Robbie Gordon that he would have fun with owning a team, Stewart said, "That's the way I've felt all along."
