Flog logo jpg "We are so excited for our "home" race this weekend. Charlotte is home for our Cup team, TRG Motorsports, but for The Racer's Group (TRG), our sports car operation, Infineon is home. Our shop is only a few minutes away from the track. We have been in this area for 15 years and we are happy to have a homecoming. We know so many folks here and this is our opportunity to really showcase our efforts.
"Being home also allows me to be more hands-on with the team this weekend, especially being a road course event. I'm going to sit in and help Paul call the race for the No. 71 Adobe Road Winery Chevrolet on Sunday. I feel I have a good understanding of race strategy from all our sports car racing success. We had Bobby in one of the sports cars earlier this year at the 24 Hours of Daytona & he really surprised us with his tremendous pace so this is going to be good
"That's something I'm excited about. You have so many different options during a road course race and a good driver plays into it so well. I feel good knowing most of the options and how a race can play out.
"TRG Motorsports is also proud to have Adobe Road Winery as the primary sponsor for the No. 71 Chevrolet. It's just a part of being home and being by our winery. Like the race team, I take pride in the winery. We're going to showcase it on the car and get the fans excited about it.
"We are still working on sponsorship for the upcoming races. Hopefully with momentum from this weekend, we will be able to attract future partners to the sport. The goal for TRG Motorsports is to be competitive in NASCAR. We will be making the necessary changes that will help us achieve our goal."
