Stewart-Haas Racing has announced Ty Dillon and Brian Vickers as the drivers of the No. 14 Chevrolet for the next two Sprint Cup races, substituting for the injured Tony Stewart.
Dillon (who has a relationship with Bass Pro Shops) will pilot the car this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway alongside his duties as a full-time Xfinity Series driver for Richard Childress Racing.
His older brother Austin once subbed for Stewart in 2013 while he recovered from a broken leg, driving the No. 14 in two Cup races (Michigan and Talladega).
Ty ran this year's Daytona 500 in the RCR-backed Circle Sport-Leavine Family Racing No. 95, finishing 25th. This will mark his ninth appearance in the NSCS.
In the third race of the 2016 season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Vickers will return to the seat of the No. 14 after bringing the car home 26th in the 500.
The driver(s) for the remaining races have yet to be officially determined. Stewart's return date hasn't been set either as he continues to recover from a burst fracture of the L1 vertebra, which he sustained in a sand rail accident during the off-season.
