NASCAR Fans E-mail List

DW loses Parts America/Western Auto Western Auto according to most articles that I've read is just wanting to get out of NASCAR all together as a sponsor. This mean that Darrell Waltrip is without a sponsor for the 1998 season. I expect that it shouldn't be to difficult for him to find another, anyone can see that he will continue to be a part of NASCAR even after he retires. I understand that Western Auto is selling the company as well.

Winston Select Cars

As we reported (courtesy of Jayski) a month or so ago, the upcoming announcement of the "special car" that Gordon will run in the Winston Select will be Jurassic Park the Lost World. This concides with the release of the movie which should be in the fall. Dale Earnhardt will run the Wheaties colors for the race, and rumor are that Ernie Irvan will run the old white, black, and gold scheme that Davey Allison once used. Die Cast Collectors take heed.

Tony Stewart and Gibbs

Tony Stewart will run the 1998 season for Gibbs and until then could run some Busch Races. Shell will be the sponsor on the Winston Cup car.

Pick 12 reminder
