David Gilliland:

You made your Cup Series debut at Sonoma in 2006, why is this track so special to you?

"I truly enjoy road racing, so Sonoma is a place that I always enjoy going to. I definitely go to Sonoma and think about the fact that it's a track that will always hold a special place in my heart because I had my first Cup series start there. In our series everything happens so fast. When I go to Sonoma I always take a moment to take into account all that has happened in my career since my early days of racing there. I've been fortunate enough to have won two races there; once in the Elite Division and once in the Grand National Division. I've also won there as a crew chief on my dad's team so we've had a lot of success at Sonoma. Besides it being a fun race track and a change of pace, it's somewhere that we always enjoy traveling to. I'm really excited about this weekend. Our car drove great at Road Atlanta during out test at the beginning of this month so I have a lot of confidence heading into this weekend's race."

Crew Chief, Cully Barraclough:

This weekend will be the first road course race of the season, how has your team prepared for this race?

"We took our car for this weekend to the test session at Road Atlanta earlier this month and it handled pretty well. We didn't run a lot of laps, but our goal was just to shake the car down a little bit and allow David to get more familiar with how this car will handle on a road course. David (Gilliland) is pretty excited heading into this weekend because he is a very good road course racer and he has a lot of history with racing at Sonoma. He's won two races there and David is definitely one of the drivers in the series that looks forward to road course races. I'm sure he wishes that we had 20 races just like this one on our schedule. Keys to this weekend will be to race the race track and use smart pit strategy. The best thing any driver can do is stay on the course because if you happen to veer off course, it can really cost you."

Chassis #537 is the chassis the #38 FreeCreditReport.com team will be running this weekend for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. This is the same chassis the team tested at Road Atlanta earlier in June.
