MAPEI Signs on as Co-Primary Sponsor of Robby Gordon Motorsports
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (June 2, 2006) -- MAPEI, the world's leader in manufacturing flooring adhesives and concrete products for the building industry, has partnered with Robby Gordon Motorsports as a co-primary sponsor of the company's No. 7 Chevrolets that compete in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series.
MAPEI will use the relationship with RGM in an effort to get its branding message to contractors and builders in the construction industry, as well as home owners. Beginning with Sunday's Neighborhood Excellence 400 at Dover International Speedway, MAPEI will share primary sponsorship space, specifically the hood, on nine Menards-sponsored cars. In addition, MAPEI will be integrated throughout the RGM program with associate space on all other No. 7 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series cars and on all RGM equipment and uniforms.

Di Tempora added that the teamwork and spirit of achievement exhibited by Robby Gordon Motorsports, NASCAR's only NEXTEL Cup Series team owned by an independent owner/driver, reflects the work ethic of the MAPEI Americas family and their customers, and those characteristics were a major factor in the decision to partner with the team.
MAPEI was founded in 1937 in Milan, Italy, by Rodolfo Squinzi, and is today led by the founder's son, Dr. Giorgio Squinzi in Milan.
