M&M's Chocolate Candies Fascinating Fact... Q: What six colors appear in the blend of M&M's Plain Chocolate Candies? A: Red, yellow, orange, green, brown and blue (30 percent brown, 20 percent each of yellow and red, 10 percent each of orange, green and blue).

Ernie Irvan's Richmond International Raceway Highlights... M&M's Racing Team driver Ernie Irvan started his Winston Cup career at Richmond International Raceway some 13 years ago. Irvan drove a Marc Reno prepared car for his Winston Cup debut on September 13, 1987, with Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet on the quarter panel. Irvan started 20th and finished 29th in the event.

Irvan is looking to add to an impressive resume at Richmond International Raceway, this time in the M&M's Pontiac. Irvan's win column boasts two victories at Richmond as well as two pole positions. He also has a total of four top 10s including three top fives.

Irvan's first Winston Cup win came in the spring of 1994 after starting from the 11th position. The M&M's driver followed that up in 1996 when he won after starting from the 11th position.

When Ernie Irvan captured the pole position at Richmond in September of 1990, it was his third career pole position and third of the season. His second top-qualifying effort came in September of 1992.

The M&M's Racing Team tested at Richmond International Raceway April 19-20. According to track officials, Irvan unofficially broke the track record, but Irvan said he expects several cars to top the current track record.

Ernie Irvan's thoughts on racing at Richmond International Raceway... "The test should be a big help for the M&M's Racing Team because we really worked a lot on qualifying. I'm not positive that the test will help, but I feel pretty confident that it will be a good weekend for us. I really think the track record is going to fall this year. If the temperatures are a little cooler, I just see us having a new track record to shoot for in qualifying. Hopefully when it is all said and done, the M&M's Pontiac will start in the top 10, if not from the pole. I guess Richmond has been pretty good to me and I've been pretty good at Richmond. I've had four big days at the track, five if you count my first Winston Cup race. I'm looking for another big day, and I know the M&M's Racing Team is looking for a big day."
