Richmond International Raceway: In 33 career starts at Richmond International Raceway, Marlin has scored three top-5 and seven top-10 finishes. He has no wins and no poles at the track. Marlin's best start is third (6/6/98 and 9/8/01) and his best finish is fourth (9/11/99) at Richmond. Marlin has not scored a top-10 finish in his last five races at Richmond. Chassis: The Coors Light team will take chassis #215 to Richmond. This car has only raced once in 2002 ­ a 14th place finish in New Hampshire.

No Bull 5: Chip Ganassi Racing teammates Sterling Marlin (third attempt) and Jimmy Spencer (second attempt) will both participate in the Winston No Bull 5 program at Richmond.

Championship contender: Marlin has lead the NASCAR Winston Cup point standings since Rockingham and is the only driver to rank in the top-10 since the Daytona 500 in February 2001. Marlin has scored eight top-5 and 14 top-10 finishes this season. He has scored three top-10 finishes in the last three races. Marlin leads all other drivers that have competed in every race this season with an average finish of 11.36.
