DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger) Qualified 11th
"I've got to thank everyone at Penske Racing; they gave me a really good car today. I haven't had the chance to run Richmond in over a year and they really helped me out by putting a good car underneath me. I felt like we had a good car in practice earlier today. I just need to get use to this COT car here (at Richmond) and get some laps under me. Kurt (Busch) looks fast and Sam (Hornish Jr.) is solid. I think we'll be really competitive tomorrow night."
KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Qualified 17th
"I felt like we made a couple of adjustments (for qualifying) and just ended up on the tight side. All-in-all, it's OK right now. If it would have rained today, we would have been starting on the pole (laughs), but right now the weather is holding out which is great for the fans here for the Nationwide race. I'll go back with Pat (Tryson, crew chief) and look over our notes and tightened it up a bit for tomorrow. I expected a little bit cooler track temperatures and just didn't get it for the changes that we tried to make for the speed we wanted."
KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Qualified 18th
"I really didn't know what to expect in qualifying to be honest with you. I just slid around a little bit more than I expected, but the balance on our Budweiser Dodge was really good. We were just a little bit too loose to go any faster, but we'll take it and get ready for tomorrow."
REED SORENSON (No. 43 McDonald's McCafe Dodge Charger) Qualified 23rd "It was pretty good. We chattered the front a little bit too much. The first lap it chattered a bunch and the second lap it chattered coming to the checkered (flag) which scrubbed some time off our qualifying time. We've been tight all day."
SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Qualified 28th
"Our Mobil 1 Dodge was pretty good all day. Our long run setup looks really good and the car felt solid in qualifying trim. I've only been around this place a couple of times, but I feel pretty comfortable in race trim. We'll keep working on it tomorrow during the race. Travis (Geisler, crew chief) has a really good handle on how to make it fast and we should be pretty competitive all night."
AJ ALLMENDINGER (No. 44 PVA.org King's Cup Dodge Charger) Qualified 31st
"We spent the majority of the day today on our race setup and just a little bit of time at the end of the second practice working on qualifying. We think we have a much better racecar than what we showed in qualifying. Hopefully we can make up some ground tomorrow once the race starts."
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge Charger) Qualified 32nd
"We were OK, just OK. We really tried to work on our front end (of the car) in practice trying to get it to turn better through the center of the corner and didn't spend a lot of time in qualifying trim. We'll have to start from the back of the field and work our way up tomorrow night."
