CONCORD, NC - Rain has been soaking the greater Charlotte area for more than two-days, causing localized flooding and washing away any hopes for the NASCAR Winston Cup series to get in qualifying for Sunday night's Coca- Cola 600.

With radar weather showing no break in the storm cell lingering over the Carolina's, officials canceled all Thursday on-track activities and have rescheduled them for Friday.

Winston Cup qualifying has been slotted for 1:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, to be followed by Busch qualifying. Both series will attempt to fit in practice sessions Friday morning beginning at 10:15 a.m. with the Cup teams.

Conditions, however, do not look good for events tomorrow at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Weather continues to be soggy, with a 70% chance of precipitation.
