Brooklyn, MI--Cal Wells, owner of PPI announced Saturday morning that his team will make the switch from Ford to Pontiac for the 2003 season. Wells, owner of the No. 32 driven by Ricky Craven, decided to make the switch for further manufacturer backing.

Currently, Wells and his ppi organization are at the end of the totem pole so to speak, when it comes to backing from their current manufacturer, Ford. Top teams listed as Ford's priority, Robert Yates Racing and Penske.

With the 2003 switch to Pontiac, ppi will more than likely become one of Pontiac's top teams following Joe Gibbs Racing's announcement that they will switch back to Chevrolet next season.
