TONY STEWART, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"It wasn't a very fun day. We aren't going very good in a straight line right now, so we've got to go to work right now. We'll just keep working. The cars are driving good. It's just a matter of trying to get some speed out of them to where we can run with some of these other cars out here."

JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"I'm real happy. I think we had a top-three race car. But, I got a really bad vibration and I just didn't want to take a chance. I elected to come in and of course, with the way our luck has been the last couple weeks, the yellow came out. That put us a lap down.

"But, I'm real proud of the guys. We finished on the lead lap. It probably could have been a lot worse than what it was."

COULD YOU HAVE STILL OVERCOME YOUR UNSCHEDULED STOP WITHOUT ANOTHER CAUTION?
"If it had stayed green we would have been OK. We didn't want to pit then, but we had to. It was just a deal that if it had stayed green it probably would have worked out OK. I would have been happy with it, but the yellow came and that put us way behind."

KEN SCHRADER, NO. 36 M&M'S PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"I gave the team some bogus information one time and that got us a little bit off. We slowed down a little bit, but did what a lot of guys did and pitted early. We tried to dig ourselves out and got caught by the yellow. But, we ran a ton better all day."

WHAT WAS YOUR STRATEGY AFTER YOU GOT YOUR LAP BACK AND A LOT OF CARS CAME TO PIT ROAD?
"We were going to try to make them all pass us and they did a pretty good job of it. But, it was better. We've been racing for spots further back."

RON HORNADAY, NO. 14 CONSECO PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"It was a tough struggling day. We were terrible yesterday in 'Happy Hour' and started the race throwing some stuff at it. We had a problem with the motor yesterday and we took some gear out of it, and it wouldn't go down the straightaway.

"But, we finished and the car is in one piece. We're going to go home and
cut the front clip off of it because the car isn't right. When it gets
around other cars it dances. I've never seen anything like it in my life.
It's something we've got to fix. We'll figure it out."
