TONY STEWART, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THAT LAP? "I'm satisfied with it, to be honest. It wasn't quite the lap I wanted, but I don't think I've had 'the lap I wanted' the whole week, really. It's hard to get that perfect lap and to feel like I got the perfect lap. Considering that and considering where we were in practice, I'm fairly satisfied with that."

IS IT A PRETTY NARROW GROOVE OR DO YOU THINK YOU'LL BE ABLE TO STEP OUT OF LINE A LITTLE BIT? "No. I don't know about everybody else's cars, but it's hard for us. We've got to do so much to try to get the drag off of these cars that we're sacrificing downforce and you can't sacrifice downforce at a track that is this fast. Our hands are kind of tied with what we've got."

BOBBY LABONTE, NO. 18 INTERSTATE BATTERIES PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
ON YOUR LAP "It wasn't too bad. I was a little bit loose in turn three, but everything else was pretty good. A lot of guys probably lost a little bit of speed from earlier - some guys gained - but, more guys probably lost a little bit, so it was good for us to run about the same speed that we ran in practice."

KEN SCHRADER, NO. 36 M&M'S PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
WHY DID YOU PICK UP SO MUCH ON YOUR SECOND LAP? "I wrecked this morning. I ran out of talent, racetrack and traction all at the same time and wrecked the first car. We only got to scuff tires on this car. Then they jacked it up and changed everything, so we were just kind of feeling things out on the first lap."

JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
DID YOU HAVE A SHOT AT THE POLE? "I don't know if we had a big shot, but we were hoping for it. It was real good, consistent lap. I was a little free, but not terrible. It was what we wanted and that is where we ended up. That's a good lap for us."

IS THAT THE LAP YOU EXPECTED? "I think in our minds we thought we could actually turn a little faster time, but it looked like the track was a little bit slower. That's as good as we've been and it ran. James Ince and the guys have been doing a great job. Like I said, we're happy with that lap."

YOU DIDN'T GET A FULL TEST HERE, BUT HOW MUCH DID YOUR TESTING HERE HELP? "It helped me as a driver because it got me acclimated to the racetrack. I love new racetracks. I love going to racetracks for the first time. It will be interesting on Sunday. Hopefully we can do well."

HOW MUCH WORK HAVE YOU DONE ON RACE RUNS? "We've done a little bit, but not a lot. We've got more work to do, I'm sure. Everybody else is going to get quicker as they get to working on it and that is what we need to do, too. We'll see what tomorrow brings us."
