HOW WAS YOUR CAR IN PRACTICE TODAY? "It wasn't too bad. We knew that the first session was going to be a little tricky because the track was going to be so green. The rain yesterday washed away any rubber that was on the track and made today's first practice really slippery. And with only 45 minutes of practice during the first session, you really don't have time to play with the car. If anything, you have to just try to shake it down and build towards the second practice.
"The second practice session was better. We worked our way into a top-10 car heading into race day and that's a good feeling. It's going to be really interesting to see how the track changes once we start to lay some rubber into it. So far it has been on the loose side and guys have really had their hands full with the tunnel turn. Our Miller Lite Dodge seems to be pretty competitive. We seem to have pretty good horsepower in the straightaways, now we just have to fine-tune it for corner entry and exit. It's always tricky here. You have to be able to get the right balance on the car to carry enough speed on corner exit to run these long straightaways. I think that we're close (with our setup). We have the benefit of getting a top-five starting spot (fourth) because of the rain canceling qualifying yesterday. That will help with pit selection and pit stops, especially under green flag stops. It's a long race. The track is going to change throughout the race a bunch. It should be interesting."
