"Running the 2006 bodies last weekend was a step in the right direction for our program. I felt like we finally had a setup we could compete with. We qualified fastest of the go or go homers and if we had not been caught up in the wreck during the race, I think we could have run up front. This weekend in Pocono, I am hoping for the same results we had there last season, coming home with a top 10 finish would help us turn things around."

QUICK FACTS:

* The No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge Charger came away with an eighth place finish at the 2.5-mile track in Pocono last season.

* Earlier this season Riggs finished 18th at Pocono Raceway.

* Riggs has two top-10 starts and one top-10 finish in seven career Cup races at Pocono.

* Scott Riggs won the ARCA RE/MAX race at Pocono in June 2004.

* Valvoline Evernham Racing currently sits in 38th position in Nextel Cup owner points 122 markers out of the top 35, therefore the team will need to qualify for this weekend's race on time.
