Rain at Pocono Puts Tony Stewart on the Pole and Gives Team Chevy Six of Top-10 Starters

Long Pond, PA - For the fifth time this season, rain forced NASCAR to set the Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) field by points putting point leader Tony Stewart, No. 14 Old Spice Swagger/Office Depot Impala SS on the pole. it is the fourth time the two-time NSCS champion has started in the number one spot in 21 events this season.

Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Lowe's Impala SS, will start alongside his Team Chevy teammate Stewart.

Jeff Gordon, No. 24 DuPont Impala SS, will start third. Ryan Newman, No. 39 Haas Automation/US Army Impala SS rolls seventh.

Mark Martin will start his No. 5 Cheez-It/CARQUEST Impala SS in ninth with Juan Pablo Montoya, No. 42 Target Impala SS in the 10th starting position.

Kurt Busch (Dodge) and Carl Edwards (Ford) complete the top-five starters of the 200-lap/500-mile Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 on Sunday.

A total 14 Impala SS drivers will take the green flag on Sunday at 2:00 for the sixth event in the Race to the Chase.
