RICKY RUDD -- No. 88 Combos Ford Fusion (qualified 20th)

"We actually had a pretty good lead-in into the qualifying -- I think we were 16th coming into the session. We picked up from what we had practiced, but unfortunately everybody else did, too, so we'll see how it shakes out. It looks like some of those guys picked up a lot more than they had run in practice. So, we see where it ends up. But, it looks pretty racy compared to what we've had here the last couple of times."

YOU WERE SOLID THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PRACTICE. "We unloaded and made about five laps, total, and each one was a qualifying-type one. We made big gains by doing that. We actually had a pretty good race car the last time here, but the rain caught us and messed up our finishing position, but the car is fairly racy so we thought we'd get dedicate more time to getting a better qualifying position -- that's been putting us in a hole a lot."

ROBBY GORDON -- No. 7 Menards/MAPEI Ford Fusion (qualified 30th)

"We're pretty happy. Obviously, it's not going to be where we optimally would like to be, but it's going to be better than last time we were here -- we started 37th. We didn't qualify very good here last time, and this time here we worked on a setup that we could just take from a race setup to a qualifying setup. So, I feel like we're going to better in race trim than we were in qualifying."

CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (qualified 29th)

"A lot better than practice, and that was just a conservative, 90-percent lap -- trying to make sure that we got a good one in. This is probably my worst qualifying track -- we qualified 30th or worse it seems every time we've been here, so I think this will be like 20th to 23rd. I think it'll be great. It's all relative. I wouldn't be happy to qualify 20-something at a lot of places, but we've got such a good car in race trim, it's going to be fun."

BILL ELLIOTT -- No. 21 Air Force Ford Fusion (qualified 21st)

"We never got a real good run on it in qualifying trim during practice, and we mainly worked on race setup. Then we made one kind of stab at it and we went to make another stab at it, and just never really got a good lap in; it started to spit rain, and we never really got an opportunity."

ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THIS CAR FOR SUNDAY? "Yeah. We were just talking -- we are just light-years ahead of last race here already, and we're not even through the first day. So, it just seemed like every time we turned around last time we were here we were just that two or three or four runs behind and never could get caught up."

JAMIE McMURRAY -- No. 26 Crown Royal Ford Fusion (qualified 22nd)

"It was definitely way better to go out late. We had a great opportunity and just didn't capitalize on it."

DAVID RAGAN -- No. 6 AAA Insurance Ford Fusion (qualified 36th)

AFTER GETTING INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT DURING PRACTICE, YOUR THOUGHTS ON QUALIFYING. "Certainly not the car I wanted to be in, but this AAA Ford Fusion team worked extremely hard today, and I've got to give it to those guys. They got this back-up car prepared at the race shop, and we were able to unload it and after about 45 minutes get back out on the track again. Everyone back at the shop has done an excellent job. We've still got two practices Saturday, and a whole 500 miles Sunday, so what better place to have a little bit of time to work on your car. Everybody talks about how long a race Pocono is, hopefully by the end of the race we'll have this thing figured out. But, the worst thing I could do there was to wreck another one. So, I reserved a little bit, still not too bad of a run, but we can get a lot better. We'll be alright."

GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 Dish Network/DOG The Bounty Hunter Ford Fusion (qualified 12th)

"We had some help with the weather, for sure. We got a decent lap, but we're still not back where we want to be. We qualified in the top-10 before and ran well, so hopefully this is a sign that we're going to get it good in race trim. We're pretty happy with it, though."
