"Our day was OK; it was a long one for sure. We started off the race pretty good, but then we lost the handle on the car a bit. We got it back, got some grip and track position, and then we had to come in late to top-off (for fuel) and try to make it to the end (of the race). We were racing with the 9 car (Kasey Kahne) there at the end and I think Kasey (Kahne) got loose and went up the track, made some contact, popped a tire and had to drive the last two-and-a-half miles with a flat tire."
TRAVIS GEISLER (Crew-Chief, No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger)
"A solid top 10 finish for our Mobil 1 Dodge. We weren't really good at the beginning of the race, but got our race car better and were probably a top-15 car at the end of the race. Pocono is just a crazy race. You just never know how this race is going to pan out. I never thought that (Tony) Stewart and those guys could have made it that long without pitting. I wasn't ready to gamble that much. We gambled a little bit and definitely gained some spots and had another top-10 run for the Mobil 1 Dodge. We'll just go on to next week and just keep moving our way up in owner points."
KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Finished 15th
"We had a really good Budweiser Dodge today. To start up front, have a throttle cable issue early in the race, fall back to 41st and race our way all the way up to third (place) was awesome. I can't tell you how great of a job that Kenny (Francis, Crew-Chief) and the Budweiser guys did in the pits all day. We knew that everybody was chasing fuel mileage late in the race and so were we, unfortunately, we were on the wrong side of it."
REED SORENSON (No. 43 Valvoline Engine Guarantee Dodge Charger) Finished 20th
"We had a great car about 50 percent of the time. We had a car that could race hard, but late in the race we started to experience an electrical issue. We fell back some positions due to the issue, but raced hard until the end and brought home a top-20 finish for our Valvoline Guarantee Dodge."
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Best Buy Dodge Charger) Finished 25th
"We struggled a little bit early on with our Best Buy Dodge before we started to hit our stride late. The car was tight in the center and loose off most of the day, but the track started to come to us late in the race. We had a lot of green flag racing today and the field spread out quite a bit which made it hard to make up track position. The Petty team had good cars today - probably some of the best we've had all year, but unfortunately our results don't show the progress we've made"
AJ ALLMENDINGER (No. 44 Stanley Dodge Charger) Finished 30th
"What a frustrating day. We had a really fast Stanley Dodge and raced all the way from 30th to sixth. I thought for sure that we had a top-10 finish at the end, but we pushed our luck on fuel and ran out (of gas) on the last lap. That was devastating knowing we had a top-10 car and finished 30th. I know our cars are getting a lot more competitive, but we just haven't had any luck fall our way at the end."
DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger) Finished 34th
"A tough day for our Penske Racing Dodge today. We worked our way up inside the top 20, but then got together with Junior (Dale Earnhardt Jr.) that sent me up into the wall. We lost a bunch of laps repairing the car and just had to run around the rest of the day."
KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Finished 37th
"It was just a bad day for our Miller Lite Dodge team; bad day in this race and bad for the big picture, too. We fought a tight condition for most of the first half of the race. We had a spring rubber pop out of the right rear. We kept working on it, but it just wanted to plow into the wall. Then (on Lap 129) I heard something just blow off...a loud poof. I hit pit road immediately. It was a broken water pump and we sheered the pulley. We had to go to the garage to fix it and changed a shock while there. We got back out there and the rains came. The shock change had us running decent, but it was too little, too late. Just a bad day all around."
