RUSTY WALLACE (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger)
Finished 11th, remained seventh in standings (Scoring adjustment after Rusty's quotes)

"I'll tell you what. With the day we had today, a 10th-place finish is almost as good as a win. We started off way too tight and made adjustments. The amps meter went down to 10 one time, so we even had to change batteries. We unplugged the right front shock to get some of the tightness out of the car, and then it got too loose. We stayed out at the end up the last possible lap. We pitted with 13 laps to go and got right-side tires. That gave us a little momentum. I told our spotter to be ready because I was going to get all I could get on those last laps. To finish 10th today with what we were up against is incredible. We'll take it, see how the points stack up and get ready for next week at Michigan."

RYAN NEWMAN (No. 12 Alltel Dodge Charger)
Finished 34th, dropped to sixth in standings

"A lot of people had tire problems. We waited until the end of the race to have one. We had a top 10 finishing going, but the left front tire didn't make it. I guess we had just about as many laps as anybody on a set of tires. When we pitted I don't think anything was going on with the tires. I don't think that was an issue there. It was obviously not good for the tires (taking gas only on the last pit stop). If we had new tires on it would have been better, but we weren't the only ones, I can say that for sure. We had a shot at five top 10s in a row, but it didn't happen."

JAMIE McMURRAY (No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge Charger)
Finished 10th, moved to 12th in standings, 392 points out of first

"I was out in front of whatever happened on the last lap. I really didn't see it, and I don't know what happened. We were just up and down today. We couldn't go on restarts. Once we settled out we were OK. The restarts killed us. We'd get passed by two or three cars and by the time we passed them back it would be time to pit again.

JEREMY MAYFIELD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)
Finished 14th, 13th in standings, 399 points behind the leader.

"We didn't have any trouble with the tires. The track got slick and heated up and we lost our chassis setup a little bit and couldn't get it back. We were sliding around and were pretty loose all day. The same thing happened to us this week that happened last week. We've got to figure out what it is.

KYLE PETTY (No. 45 Georgia-Pacific/Brawny Dodge Charger)
Finished 41st

"I hate it for Jason Leffler. He cut a tire or something and spun and was about out of the way. There's a truck driver driving one of those cars out there, and he ran all over the back of me and spun me around. I ran into the back of Jason. Jason wouldn't be out of the race if I hadn't been out of the race. That guy should have stayed in Texas I think."

KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger)
Finished 27th

"We didn't have a handle on the setup early, but we expected to be able to adjust and get it better. We did that in the last half of the race, but it came after we had to make two green-flag stops for flat tires. I don't know what happened with the tires. On one run we passed the leader on the restart. In clean air, our car was good. We just didn't get a chance to get the lap back and the second flat really put us in a hole."

TRAVIS KVAPIL (No. 77 Kodak/Jasper Dodge Charger)
Finished 17th

"It was really ugly for the first three-quarters of the race. We were running around really about the last car on the track just hanging on. For about half the race we didn't know what direction to go. Finally we started hitting on some stuff and started picking up speed in the race car. When the race started I said I'd be happy with a top 20 or top 15, so 17th isn't so bad. The car is in one piece. We didn't tear it up and stayed out of trouble. The team did a good job and kept working on the car to get it better. We got a decent finish out of it. It isn't where we wanted to be, but we've got a couple of top 20s in a row and we feel like we're getting stronger. I think the ARCA race really helped us out. It showed me where to pass and how to get on pit road under green - little stuff like that."
