HOW WAS YOUR LAP? "All the adjustments that the Budweiser guys did were good. I don't know if (that lap) will hold up (for a top-10 start), but for when we went, that was a good lap. The car felt really consistent and pretty fast, so hopefully it's a top 10."
DID THE TRACK CHANGE MUCH FROM PRACTICE TO QUALIFYING? "I would say that there is more grip out there now. To me, it felt like there was more grip, so because of that I would say that there are going to be a lot of cars that pick it up and go a bit faster. Hopefully (our lap) will be a solid run and we have a good starting spot for tomorrow night."
DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger)
"We were just a little too tight, but we've got something to work with. In race trim, our car was pretty good. The track has picked up a lot of grip. The first time here in a COT car, I'm pretty happy with the performance. It's going to be a different race tomorrow. I think you're going to be able to move around quite a bit. I'm real happy with everyone on this Penske No. 12 Dodge. If we keep improving like this and getting better, we can be like our teammate (Kurt Busch) up there at the top."
AJ ALLMENDINGER (No. 44 Charter Dodge Charger)
"We need to be better tomorrow. We need the car better balanced. We haven't been there all day. We had the same practice as everybody else; we just haven't gotten the job done. We have to find something. We're not far off. Hopefully, we'll figure it out tomorrow and make it better."
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Stanley Dodge Charger)
"We keep putting ourselves in a whole in qualifying. We're not getting the effort into it and its showing. We've got to put a better effort into qualifying. It's hard to race like that on Sunday (Saturday night this week). We're going to keep digging. It's a short race, so we have to use some kind of strategy to try and get to the front."
REED SORENSON (No. 43 Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Dodge Charger)
"We're going to have to come from the back. We were 12th in practice, but didn't qualify well. I don't know how we managed to qualify that bad. We thought the car was all right in race trim, but now I don't know."
SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger)
"Not the effort we were looking for. We had a car that was OK in practice. I just didn't get out of it what we needed. It's hard to see getting into turn one here as the sun starts to go down. So, we lost the first lap and on the second lap, the car was just too loose. The Mobil 1 Dodge is good in race setup. It's going to be tough coming from the back. We have our work cut out for us."
