Hackettstown, N.J. (July 16, 2003) -- The All-Star roster for the Second Annual M&M'S Night of Stars keeps getting better. Kevin Harvick , the 2001 Rookie of the Year and driver of the No. 29 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet, has signed up with Ken Schrader for the fund raiser at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., on July 30, 2003.
"The list of drivers continues to grow, and I think a couple of more drivers will sign on before the big night," said Schrader. "I promised all the fans that this year would be bigger and better, and I think it is shaping up to be just that. All the guys who are coming to I-55 are going to put on one heck of a show, and I think the fans will love every minute of it."
All proceeds from this year's M&M'S Night of Stars will once again go to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty. Fans will make contributions via M&M's Night of Stars ticket sales, t-shirts sales and a raffle for a Dirt Works Modified roller chassis.
Harvick and Schrader will be joined by NASCAR Winston Cup stars Kyle Petty, Kenny Wallace, reigning Winston Cup champion Tony Stewart, Busch Series veteran Jason Keller and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Rick Crawford.
Last year's event -- a 10-lap shootout with NASCAR superstars giving their all in dirt modified race cars -- raised $114,626 for the Victory Junction Gang Camp for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.
The 10-lap shootout between Kenny and the gang is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 3pm. Tickets are $25 for reserved seating and $20 for general admission and available by calling (636) 479-3219. There will be an autograph session with two lines that will take place inside the I-55 gates prior to the main event.
