Carl Edwards, No. 99 Cheez-It/Kellog’s Ford (Qualified 8th)

“I locked up the left front into one, otherwise that would have been a really good lap. I think we will be seventh or eighth which is okay considering how bad I messed up that second lap. The good news is that we have a fast race car and we will be good for tomorrow because the car is fast. We can pass here, especially with a fast race car, so we will be good.”

David Ragan, No. 6 UPS Ford (Qualified 20th)

“I feel like I can always do better. We made a lot of changes today. That was the first lap on that setup and we didn’t make many qualifying runs in practice. We just threw that setup in off some stuff our teammates were doing. All considered it was okay. We should be in the early twenty’s. We can pass here, so that is the good thing. I always feel like we want to qualify on the pole every time and I am a little disappointed we aren’t up there in the top-10. We have a good race car though and it is a car that can win if we put ourselves in the right position, so I am pretty happy.”

Marcos Ambrose, No. 9 Stanley Ford (Qualified 33rd)

“You know, I am just confused right now. I thought that was better than that. I thought that was a decent lap but turns out that it wasn’t. I don’t really know right now what we need to get better at for tomorrow, but we will get to work on it.”

Greg Biffle, No. 16 3M Honoring Our Heroes Ford (Qualified 14th)

“I feel pretty good after that qualifying run. I know it probably won’t stay up front but it was a lot better than we were in practice. We were pretty happy with the car in race trim. Not so good in qualifying trim but we are decent in race trim and I am really excited about our paint scheme we have honoring our heroes and we all remember where we were at when tat tragic day came. Hopefully we just remember those people this weekend.”

AJ Allmendinger, No. 43 Best Buy Ford (Qualified 9th)

“It was okay. I really tried to roll into turn one and get a lot of speed and see if I could cut it and get a good run off but I over did it a little bit. I got loose coming to the white. If I could do it over again I would like to but it is what it is. That is alright. We should be around tenth and that is a decent stop to start from.”

David Gilliland, No. 34 Honoring Our Heroes Ford (Qualified 36th)

“It was not bad. We really didn’t work on too much qualifying stuff in practice. We came with a different setup so we didn’t feel like unloading in qualifying trim. We worked on race trim and made one run at the end of the first practice. We just have to get comfortable with the balance of the car and it will give us what we need for Saturday night.”

Travis Kvapil, No. 38 Long John Silver’s Ford (Qualified 35th)

“It was a big pick-up but it always is when you go from a 2 o’clock practice to qualifying at 5:30. I don’t know if it will be good enough to make the race or not. It didn’t drive very good. I had a pretty decent lap but the line wasn’t perfect, it was too tight in the middle and loose off. I know we worked hard today and hopefully it is good enough.” 1
