GREG BIFFLE - No. 16 National Guard/Subway Taurus (Qualified 31st) - "It was a great lap. That's the fastest we've gone here. We understand that it's cool and the car is really fast, but our car is pretty loose for the race. I just got loose down there in the center and we're just not gonna be able to run any faster than that right now."

ELLIOTT SADLER - No. 38 Pedigree/M&M's Taurus (Qualified 8th) - "The track has a lot of grip on it right now. Of course, the cloud cover always offers that. My car is pretty decent, we think. We think it's gonna be pretty good on long runs and I think that will get us a top 10 starting spot. That's kind of what we're looking for, so we'll just go from there."

WHAT ABOUT YOUR STATUS IN THE CHASE? MORE PRESSURE ON YOU OR YOUR TEAM? "I hope they're gonna back me up, but the pressure is on me. I've just got to go out there and call a smart race and be smart inside the race car - pick my battles. It's gonna be fine. I think we definitely have a team that's good enough to be in the chase and definitely good enough to be a big factor in this championship come the end of the season. I just have to do my job in the race car. We started off with a good run last week at Watkins Glen, but to us it's a four-race season. There are four races left in this season and we've got to put our best foot forward, and we think we've done that with the car selections we have for the next three weeks. We'll see what we've got."

KURT BUSCH - No. 97 Crown Royal Taurus (Qualified 17th) - "I thought we'd be a little quicker on lap time. The car drove comfortably and with the temperatures outside I just thought we could go a little quicker. A 38-flat should put us 15th or so and that's a good starting spot. We actually ran our fastest lap yesterday in race practice and then we tried to do a qualifying run and slowed up, so that just shows our potential on Sunday."

CARL EDWARDS - No. 99 AAA Taurus (Qualified 12th) - THIS IS YOUR ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH THE 99 TEAM? "Yeah, this is my first year. Bob Osborne stuck his hand out and congratulated me. He said, 'Congratulations on one year in Nextel Cup.' I thought that was pretty neat."

HOW WAS YOUR LAP? "I think the track is just a lot faster. The guys did a great job. Kurt helped me a little bit telling me where I should run. I thought that was pretty cool of Kurt to let me talk to him on the radio right after his lap and give me advice. I'm happy. I hope that ends up in the top 10. We've got a great race car. Usually at these impound races at the big places, when you get the car right in race trim and you go to qualify it's way too loose. My guys did a great job. It's pretty easy to drive."

RICKY RUDD - No. 21 Motorcraft Genuine Parts Taurus (Qualified 9th) - "I'm really sort of surprised at this run because we spent 98 percent of our time yesterday working on race setup and I got really comfortable with what I had there. Then we put it in qualifying trim and we were way, way loose. That's actually a good sign, so within the rules structure they allow you to do a few things for qualifying and the guys took advantage of that. They tightened the car up and it was very, very good."

DALE JARRETT - No. 88 UPS Taurus (Qualified 33rd) - "We were just loose, like we've been here the whole time. We've been loose since we got here. We tried to do a few things yesterday, but it's just been loose. It's hard to run when you're that loose."

PEOPLE WILL LOOK AT THE TIMING SHEET FROM YESTERDAY AND SEE YOU WERE ONE OF THE FASTEST. HOW WILL THAT TRANSLATE TO THE RACE? "That doesn't mean anything. That was a qualifying-type deal, too, so that means absolutely nothing as far as looking at the speed charts. We look at people that made race runs and what we did on our race runs, and, unfortunately, we were loose in that time too. We've got to make some adjustments with the car to where we can race, but, on the other side of it, we've got to be careful because this race track tends to really tighten up. There's a fine line there and we've just somehow got to figure out a way to get our car in the top 10 tomorrow."

MARK MARTIN - No. 6 Viagra Taurus (Qualified 14th) - "This car is gonna be awesome. I love my chances this weekend. I've been happy ever since I got here and I'm very happy with that."

GUYS SAY IF THE CAR IS LOOSE IN QUALIFYING THAT'S A GOOD SIGN FOR THE RACE. IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE FEELING NOW? "I feel like I'm gonna be really strong on the long runs. Sunshine, shade - whatever - I think it's gonna be good. Obviously we were set up for the heat, but it's not gonna matter with this thing."

MATT KENSETH - No. 17 DeWalt Taurus (Qualified 13th) - "That was a good lap. I didn't expect it to be that good, so I actually left a little bit laying on the table out there, but that was good. I don't feel as confident as I did in Chicago, but I think we've got a good car. I don't know if it's a winning car, but I think we've got a fifth to tenth place car at least. Hopefully we can make the right adjustments and have it there."
