KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) Qualified 6th

"Our Miller Lite Dodge really felt good for Michigan. This place is tough to qualify at. You can choose the middle, the low groove sometimes. If we qualify up front, maybe we can hang on, buy I definitely like running at this track. As warm as the conditions are here this weekend, how much will that impact the track conditions? With it being even hotter over the weekend, the track will just keep getting slicker and slicker. I'm happy to see that they made practice later in the day which will make the conditions really similar to Sunday's race. I like our Miller Lite Dodge this weekend. We have a fast race car. We want to bring home a win for Dodge here in their backyard."

KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger) Qualified 10th

"A real nice lap for our Budweiser Dodge. Despite the engine change and barely any practice time, these guys gave me a really good car. The biggest thing is to make sure that it goes through the corner and to hit my marks on the race track. That was a pretty decent lap for not having practiced today. Everything ran the way that it should, so I was happy. My guys did an awesome job like always.

ANY CONCERN ABOUT HAVING TO START AT THE REAR OF THE FIELD (engine change)? "Track position will hurt us early, but it's a long race and there is plenty of room to pass out here. Tomorrow is a big day to get the car balanced in race trim and get it running like we need it to be on Sunday."

AJ ALLMENDINGER (No. 44 Super 8 Dodge Charger) Qualified 13th

"It was alright. I left a little bit on the table in Turns 3 and 4. We've been just a little bit free there all day. I felt like I could have gotten just a little more out of it. I guarded the car just a little bit off the corner, but overall, I'm real happy about the lap that we put down."

SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Qualified 14th

"We just need some good luck. Every time that we manage to make it to the end of the race, we don't run into something or the driver doesn't make a mistake, we tend to run pretty good. We just need to keep going out there, keep our heads down. Last week was obviously disappointing. We tore up a newer race car that we wanted to bring back and run at some more road courses. All five guys that are right in front of us in points all had problems and then that happens to us. At least we're running this weekend. That's all that I can ask for. I'm very thankful that I wasn't hurt at all."

ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge Charger) Qualified 34th

"About what we expected to be honest with you. We don't spend a lot of our time working on qualifying trim and that hurts us a bit in qualifying. We keep working on our race trim setup and that's has been our focus. Right now we're just trying to get our race cars better for Sunday. We knew we were going to suffer a little but today."

REED SORENSON (No. 43 Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Dodge Charger) Qualified 40th

"We just missed today in qualifying trim. We'll just have to work on it in race trim tomorrow and get ready for Sunday."
