Note: WHILE RUNNING 15TH FROM HIS 28TH STARTING POSITION, STARTED TO EXPERIENCE OVERHEATING, CREW PULLED TAPE OFF NOSE ON STOP. ON LAP 147, CAME DOWN PIT ROAD AGAIN DUE TO OVERHEATING, CREW PULLED HOSES OVER WALL TO COOL THE CAR DOWN. CAR WOULD NOT REFIRE, PULLED TO GARAGE. CREW UNABLE TO DETERMINE PROBLEM, RETIRED FROM THE RACE.
WHAT HAPPENED? I really don't know what happened. We started running hot and then all of a sudden it started to peg and finally it overheated. We don't know what the problem is, but I'm sure RCR will get back to us with a diagnosis. For some reason we haven't been able to catch a break. We really needed to get ourselves a finish today and it just don't want to go our way. I'm baffled right now.
Kevin Harvick -- #29 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet
Note: Reported clutch problems on lap 259
WHAT WENT WRONG OUT THERE WITH YOUR CAR? We've got something wrong with the car. It's the same thing that happened to Dave Blaney last week. I don't really know why. It won't engage the clutch. It's not the way the GM Goodwrench Chevrolet wanted to run. There's not much you can do about it. We don't know what's wrong.
