JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 EAGLE ONE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"It's pretty disappointing. You look and you know they've had a lot of rain, but the sun is out, so it's hard to make yourself believe that you can't run. With it being my first day back and knowing we had a good test, not running today makes it pretty difficult. But, we know we're going to race well on Sunday. We know we'll have a good race car and we're looking forward to that race on Sunday.
EVEN THOUGH THIS IS YOUR FIRST WEEKEND BACK IN THE CAR, YOUR TEAM HAS PRETTY HIGH EXPECTATIONS...
"We expect a lot on Sunday. We've run so good here the last couple times we've been here. Some of our finishes don't show it, but we've been really strong here. That makes me think that the race on Sunday is something that we have a good shot at. I hate that we've got to do it from where we're coming from (27th), but we've come from the back here before."
JAMES INCE, CREW CHIEF, NO. 10 EAGLE ONE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
ON THE CANCELLATION OF QUALIFYING
"It's disappointing for us. We felt like, with Johnny coming back, that this was a place where we had an opportunity to sit on the pole. Now, we're going to start 27th, which is a bed that we've made all year that we've got to go lay down in. I still feel like we've got a great opportunity during the race on Sunday. It's just going to be more difficult.
"Track position is hard here, like it is most places. We'll just come in tomorrow morning and work really, really hard on the race setup, get it as good as it can be and still try to win the race on Sunday."
DOES YOUR MID-PACK STARTING POSITION CHANGE ANYTHING THAT YOU'LL DO TO PREPARE FOR SUNDAY'S RACE?
"No, I don't think so. You always do everything that you can do to make the car as good as you can make it, to make Johnny as happy as you can. At the end of the day, all you can do is all you can do, and we're going to do everything we possibly can to put ourselves in a position to win.
"It's just frustrating more than anything else. Our starting spot might be the difference between winning and finishing fifth. It's just one more thing for us this year that we can't control. When you get in situations that you can't control, then things are going to happen. We'll just take it, go with it and try to do as good as we can."
