Scott Riggs Quotes:

"Las Vegas is a big race for us, its Stanley Tools' first race and we want to make them proud. We have a brand new chassis for Vegas and to complement that we have a new yellow and black Stanley Tools paint scheme that is just cool looking. I know the our fans are pumped up to see the 10 car in some different colors, but it will still have Valvoline pumping through its veins as we take it to the front this weekend."

"We used the off weekend to do a one-day test in Lakeland. We went there and tried some mechanical grip things we wanted to look into. Probably 75 percent of the things we tried didn't work but 25 percent did. But it is just as valuable for us to know what doesn't work as what does. It was a good chance for the Stanley Tools/Valvoline Team to get together away from a race weekend and throw some fresh ideas out."

Rodney Childers Quotes:

"Having this last weekend off gave us time to get caught up. We had a test session at Lakeland last Tuesday that went real well. It was mainly a way to get Scott some seat time in an Evernham short track car, which is a lot different than one of our intermediate cars. We also had time to try a lot of things setup wise that we would never have time to do on a typical race weekend."

"This is a brand new car we are bringing to Vegas, so I am really anxious to get it out on the track. The guys have worked really hard to get this car done. We ran well at Vegas last year, qualified fourth and ran in the top 10 all day, but blew the right front tire and tore the fender off. Scott gets around that track really well."

"We still need to focus on making the race first. With the cars that are on the entry list we should be in even if it rains, however if some cars that are not on the entry list show up then that could change. I think we have a good enough car where we go out there, not push it too hard and still sit on the pole. But the main thing for us is to make sure we are in, and don't tear anything up in practice so we have out best car for the race on Sunday."

QUICK FACTS:

* Riggs' No. 10 Stanley Tools/Valvoline Dodge Charger will feature the Stanley Tools paint scheme at Las Vegas. As the co-primary of the No. 10, Stanley Tools will run 10 races as the primary sponsor in 2006.

* Sunday's race will mark Scott Riggs' third NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Last year he started fourth, finished 31st and earned $85,250.

* In two starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Riggs has an average starting spot of 9.5, an average finish of 30th place, has led one lap and earned $176,487.

* Since Valvoline Evernham Racing is a new team in 2006 they still have to qualify their way into UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas, as well as Atlanta and Bristol in the next two weeks until the top 35 are locked in. Because they are already within the Top 35 in Owners Points, they will be locked in the race even if qualifying rains out.
