Mike Skinner, driver of the No. 4 Kodak MAX Film Monte Carlo, fought a tight race car during the fourth running of the NASCAR Winston Cup Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. While some competitors were able to drive a high line around the 1.5 mile track, Skinner could only drive the lower groove on the track.

Suffering from a sore throat and the initial symptoms of a cold, Skinner managed to bring the Morgan-McClure Motorsports entry home unscathed. Skinner was back home in Daytona on Monday taking medications to fight off the virus.

Scott Eggleston and the Morgan-McClure Motorsports crew will return to Abingdon, Va. to prepare for the upcoming Atlanta race. Following a successful test session at the speedway a week ago, the team feels confident about a solid performance in the Atlanta 500.

Country Music Recording Artist Mark McGuinn will be a guest of Morgan-McClure Motorsports during the upcoming race weekend. McGuinn, a native of Greensboro, NC, topped the country singles chart last year for four weeks with "Mrs. Steven Rudy" and is currently on the charts with "She Doesn't Dance".

Mike Skinner will travel to Nashville Friday night following qualifying in Atlanta, one of two drivers invited to attend, for NASCAR Night at the Grand Ole Opry. Skinner will host a segment for the famous syndicated program.
