What made your pre-season test in Vegas so successful?
"We worked on a ton of stuff and really learned a lot. DJ and Mike Ford along with my crew chief Todd Parrott and I work really well together and it showed at the test."
You haven't had the finishes you've wanted in Las Vegas so far in your career. Why is Vegas a challenge?
"I don't know that this track is more challenging as I have just had some bad luck there. We were running in the top-15 last year when we had a mechanical problem. The finishes just haven't been there but this track is one of the coolest races on the circuit so I'd like to improve on all that."
As a driver you have preformed very well at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Is there any comparison to Vegas?
"Vegas is a nice smooth track and you will see some good side-by-side racing. This weekend will be the weekend where all the changes over the off season will show up. We are hoping to have a good showing and it will prove that we did our homework and are prepared to win."
Do you pay attention to the odds?
"No, I can't pay attention to that because going into Daytona I was told we were 28-1 and that went down to 8-1 after we won one of the Twin 125 races. It's all superstition but it's also fun to watch. I love racing in Vegas - its one of the best cities in the world to visit."

What car did you select to run at Las Vegas?
"We are bringing chassis #17 to Vegas which is a brand new car. So far this year we have come out of the box with a mission - to win races and get RYR back into the top-10. If the test is an indicator of good things to come -- get ready."
QUOTING M&M'S SPOTTER BRETT GRIFFIN:
How does your position serve as a cheerleader of sorts for Elliott as he drives?
"The spotter wears a lot of hats. We're in place for safety purposes but most spotters on the roof call restarts, pit stops, traffic, wrecks and we're often cheerleaders. These NEXTEL Cup races are long so the last thing I want is for Elliott is to get down if he's having a bad green flag run. Todd is great at fixing the car so it's just a matter of keeping Elliott pumped up until he has another chance to get on pit road."

IN LIVING COLOR-- This is the final weekend for the Black and White #38 car - next week in Atlanta the color comes back on the track.
ANNOUNCEMENT-- Elliott Sadler will make an announcement regarding his annual charity event on March 12th at 10am in the Atlanta Motor Speedway media center. Sadler will be available for interviews at that time.
