Reutimann Unlucky at Las Vegas - #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota comes up short at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Las Vegas, NV -- The #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota, driven by David Reutimann, came up a few seconds short of delivering another NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series start this Sunday. The Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender qualified the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota 45th in Bud Pole Qualifying today from Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota is one of the new Michael Waltrip Racing teams, meaning that they to qualify in the top seven of the teams that are required to make it in the race on speed. Unfortunately, only seven spots are open for 18 drivers, and David was one of the ten cars that was not fast enough and will not be racing on Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"This is heartbreaking, and I'm disappointed for my team and sponsor. I really wanted to give all the employees of Domino's Pizza and my fans something to cheer for on Sunday," said Reutimann. "The support they give this team means everything to me and I know we will bounce back next weekend at Atlanta."

Continue to watch for Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender David Reutimann and the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Kobalt Tools 500 on March 18, 2007.
