Dale Jr. Quotes for the Chrysler 400
"We need a good finish, it's that simple. I've said all winter that every points race I have lost, it was because of a poor start in the first five or six races, and this season has not started out very well for us. We've had three cut or blown tires now in two races, and it really has us behind in points, but that is not keeping us down. We've got a great team, and we all still have a winning attitude.
"We had a great test at Vegas before the season started. We know we can go out and win Winston's money this weekend. (The Budweiser team is eligible for a one million dollar bonus in this year's first Winston No Bull 5 contest. The team is eligible for the bonus after winning the race at Talladega last fall. The Talladega victory was the team's first million dollar victory after three previous tries at the award.) This is our third Cup race there and we have led both of the previous races. We're going in with the expectation of winning."

Best Start: 3 (2000)
Best Finish: 10 (2000)
This Race, Last Year: St: 32 - Fin: 23
The Bud team contended for the victory at Las Vegas last season until a late race pit lane penalty cost them a lap and a chance at a top-five finish. In 2000, the race at Las Vegas marked the first time that the Budweiser team led a Winston Cup race outright, leading the field for 41 laps. The team finished 10th when a rain shower ended the race early.

What to Watch
The Vegas track is one of the many look-alike 1.5-mile D-shaped ovals on the Winston Cup circuit. Luckily, the Budweiser team excels at these ovals, winning at Texas and Charlotte (the Winston) and leading laps in their two previous races here in Las Vegas. With a one-million dollar bonus on the line for the Bud team, expect them to be up front and aggressive throughout the race.
