Busch crashed four laps into Pure Michigan 400.
Kyle Busch completed four laps before the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota ended up in the garage at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday.
Busch started 24th and was running 19th in the Pure Michigan 400 when he pancaked the right side of his car in Turn 4. Busch’s car sustained body and suspension damage in the hit.
He returned to action on Lap 28.
The 29-year-old Joe Gibbs Racing driver entered the race 15th in the point standings. Busch has one win at Michigan. He finished 41st in the June event on the two-mile track. He has since returned to the race, but a number of laps down.
