“I think it was kind of included, but it wasn’t necessary included (in the sponsor announcement). My deal is in there as well, too,” Busch said Thursday at Chase Media Day in Hollywood, Fla.

Asked if he could envision spending the rest of his NASCAR career with JGR, Busch, 30, said it was certainly a possibility.

“A lot of things happen in this sport but I’m pleased with where I’m at. Joe Gibbs and Joe Gibbs Racing has really been a true home for me and being with Toyota and having the respect and rapport I have with them has been really awesome.”

Busch declined to say specifically how long his contract was but referred to it as “multiple years.”

On Tuesday, Mars announced it had extended its M&Ms sponsorship with Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 18 Toyota team for the next several seasons

The partnership between the Mars family and Busch dates back to 2008. The relationship has been strained at time but certainly has been productive with 29 wins, 15 poles. 109 top-five and 142 top-10 finishes.

“For as much fun as we’ve had over the years, it’s certainly cool we can continue to have that and to keep that colorful brand out there on the race track and hopefully with much more success,” Busch said.

Busch's team owner said its been a big week for the JGR organization regardless of how Sunday's championship race turns out.

"For us to get an extension on our contract with (Mars) and then to get Kyle wrapped up in that, it's a huge deal for us," he said. "It made me reflect on what this weekend means. For us, you have Toyota's chance to win a Cup title for the first time ever, you got M&Ms for the first time ever and you got Kyle.

"I think everybody is nervous and everybody knows what's at stake."
