Silly season is underway, and things at the Stewart Haas Racing camp have been busy this past week.
The team is still dealing with the absence of team owner Tony Stewart, out with a leg injury, but it hasn't slowed the camp down at all.
Kurt Busch has been offered to drive for the team, sources told ESPN.com today, to drive alongside Stewart, Kevin Harvick and Danica Patrick next season.
"Stewart-Haas Racing constantly strives to improve itself, and expansion is something that is often discussed. If the right opportunity presents itself, it's something the team will certainly consider," said SHR spokesman Mike Arning in an email Sunday.
The team recently announced that Ryan Newman would not continue with the team into 2014, and earlier this season confirmed that Harvick would be joining the team with Budweiser sponsorship.
Nothing has been confirmed, but sources say that the car would be sponsored by Haas/CNC if Busch chose to sign with the team.
Busch has been performing well in his Furniture Row Racing car this season, with 6 top 5s to his credit, 11 top 10s and a pole this season.
