Update: Watkins Glen Seen It Live Hey we won! Okay, let me give some more background. I'm sure that anyone who has been to the races knows that there are tons of raffles and prizes to sign up for. Most them are designed to get your name and address for mailing lists. Before I was married and had kids, I only signed up one name - mine. Now, I get to sign up five names - my wife, my three kids and myself. Well, its finally paid off. My son Kris won two free tickets to the New York State Fair Demolition Derby later this month!!! Way cool! And they are reserved seat grandstands as well. So, just to let you know that those contests are sometimes worth it. In addition, I will be putting some pictures from the Glen on my web page in the near future. I have to finish scanning them in, and then uploading them to the site. So, keep in touch.
Also, John Kucko from local Rochester channel TV 8 News ran a segment on the Kodak car and Sterling Marlin. Looks like the rumor mill has been working overtime on whether or not he stays in that ride for the rest of the year. It will be interesting to see if Robby Gordon stays behind the wheel of the #40 car for the rest of this season. A recent interview with him confirmed our rumors that he is out Sabco's ride at year end, and potentially out of NASCAR for good as well. Silly season is definitely starting to bloom.
>From NASCARfans email: > Jay announced today that his NASCAR Silly >Season site (http://www.jayski.com) would be on vacation for a week or >so. He's having trouble getting the page uploaded, plus the heavy >traffic is making the server crash. Anyone out there got a "cheap to >rent", fast, high capacity server? Jay's page gets 5,000+ hits a day >(with 75% of them unique). If so, you may wish to send Jay a note, >using "email@example.com" as the e-mail address. Jay is not >"officially" affiliated with NASCARFans, but he is a good friend, and as >you've noticed, I use his page as a major reference point.
