Dale Earnhardt Inc. No. 15 Team Finishes 27th at Kansas Speedway

September 28, 2008 (KANSAS CITY, MO) -- Paul Menard and the No. 15 Super Clean/Menards team finished 27th in today's Camping World RV 400 at Kansas Speedway.

"We were fighting to find grip all day," Menard said following the 267-lap event. "We had a run in the middle of the day where we were really good, but with the track temperatures escalating throughout the day we definitely had to work to find a comfortable setup."

Menard rolled off in 6th place after turning in his best qualifying performance since he winning the Coors Light Pole Award at Daytona International Speedway in July.

Menard was able to remain in the top-10 throughout the first 20 laps of the race before slipping back and reporting handling issues to the crew.

"One run we were really tight and the next we were wicked loose," Menard explained. "But the team kept working on it and we got it pretty good by the middle of the race."

At the halfway point of the race, Menard was still running in the top-25, but a long green flag run relegated Menard to the 30th position -- one lap down -- by lap 187.

Menard continued to battle for positions on track until the checkered flag flew. He was able to pick up three spots in the closing 40 laps.

Menard's 27th place finish allows him to remain in the 28th place in NASCAR Sprint Cup driver's points.
